Remove trojans, viruses, using malware free tool
I am normally so careful not to download anything I don’t trust afraid of getting the deadly computer viruses, spyware, Trojans and alike.
However, I must have accidentally clicked on something wrong or downloaded a tool from the Internet that I thought was from a safe trusted source and low and behold – I was struck with something called win32/Rustock trojan.
As usual I went hunting over the Internet to find out everything I could about how this might affect my computer and especially security issues. I also contacted my ESET Smart Security providers as their scan was detecting the Trojan but not cleaning it.
ESET were great! They asked me for different levels of details and made recommendations as we wrote back and forth. I was surprised by the level of service that would normally be considered ‘premium’ by other well known anti virus, spyware software providers.
But the real reason I am writing this is not to talk about the great service from ESET, but about the free software they told me to download and use to remove the Trojan virus. It’s called Malwarebytes and it is totally free and very effective!
After searching the Internet and finding articles about removing the win32/Rustock trojan, none of them mentioned this free Malware software. They all ended up trying to sell me something.. you know what its like.
I ran the Malware and it destroyed not only the trojan but also some other nasty stuff that I was unaware of. I had kept getting something similar to the following image everytime I started my computer:

I had a few weeks back searched the file but couldn’t find a single reference to it so I had no idea what is was or how to get rid of it.
Well my friend if you get something like this and cannot find any reference to it on the net.. chances are it ALSO is a trojan, virus of some sort and each time you click it to clear it, it probabaly loads it stuff, who knows. I had no idea.
But, no problem, the malware took this one out as well …. Nice job!
So I highly recommend you go get yourself this invaluable piece of software to check for and clean up your drives – http://www.malwarebytes.org/
And best of all the free download version is fully functional and totally FREE!
